How to Improving Your Website PageRank

1. Include useful high-quality information on your site.
2. Submit your site to various web directories and reference sites.
3. Publicize your site to everyone with whom you communicate.
   eg-
     Business cards
     Letterhead
     Newsletters
     Brochures
     Press Releases
     Fax cover sheets
     Email signatures
4.  Ask other high-quality websites to link to your website.
eg - Getting other “good” websites to link to yours usually helps your website’s PageRank and ranking on Google.
5.  heck out a site before you link back.
6. Tell the press about your site.
7.Avoid devious tactics to improve your ranking.
8. And finally…

In addition to considering the number of links to your page and the ranking of the linking page, to compute a page’s PageRank, Google considers hundreds of factors including

how fast a site is gaining links
    how long the links persist
when your site acquired the links
the click through rate (CTR) of Google’s search results, cached pages, favorites on the Google Toolbar
the stickiness of your site (i.e., the effectiveness of your site in retaining individual users)

How we got a Page Rank 5 in Two Months
--------------------------------------

1. Comments, comments, comments -Nothing could be further from the truth. Blogging is really about building a community with your readers and fellow bloggers. Commenting is thus a great way to build backlinks, expose your brand, and connect with other bloggers.i   could easily devote a whole post to this topic, but Brett Borders already wrote a fantastic guide on creating a solid online presence by commenting. Commenting is a big reason we have over 3,000 links pointed to the Sports Fan 4 domain as of this post.

2.  Twitter, twitter, twitter-We set Josh up with a Twitter account on May 15 and he immediately began using it to connect with other sports fans. The key here is we setup a strategy for Josh to connect and communicate via Twitter. promoting posts was a secondary aim. It’s been a great strategy so far as Twitter has delivered traffic, guest writers and backlinks to his site. When you approach Twitter with the goal of communicating with others, the promotion will happen organically. We also installed a Twitter widget which kept fresh content flowing to the homepage.

3. Unique content-A big boost to Sports Fan 4 came when we progressed from writing game wrap ups to producing unique content not commonly found on other sports blogs. I wrote a post about Five Life Lessons From “He Hate Me”, Josh wrote a post on How to Spot Steroid Users and began producing player profiles, while Matt published a list of things to do when the Sox game is rained out.
4. Our Network-A tip that really only applies to some of our audience. At The 42nd Estate we have a network of sites and on all those sites we post links back to our other sites. It makes sense since all the sites are part of The 42nd Estate’s network. Most of these sites have Page Ranks of 3 or 4, which gave Sports Fan 4 quality links right from the start. In other words, utilize your existing sites when launching new sites.

Don’ts to Increase Page Rank

1. No spammy outbound links: Don’t link to spammy or untrustworthy sites. Google thinks the linking site is also spammy. This method protects your link juice and helps to maintain the page rank.
Don’t use P0rn words: Never ever use P0rn words on your blog, even in a slightest form, even while writing a meaningful and humerus post. Google is extremely harsh in this regard. Google might consider your site as adult. Look, I have used the symbol “ zero ” in place of “ o ” for the word P0rn.
Don’t watch P0rn while logged-in to your Google A/c: Yes, it’s true phenomenon and observed by many webmasters recently. Google knows more about you, than your boy friend or girl friend. And, Google don’t like to make a P0rn addict to a blogging-star.
